Presidents Message / Welcome
MAGIC is an organization founded in the early 1980's for the purpose of putting on advanced and challenge level weekends featuring established and well recognized advanced and challenge callers. The name MAGIC is an acronym for Minnesota's Advanced Group Including Challenge. MAGIC puts on five weekends a year, each of which consists of an A1 session on Friday night, a C1 session on Saturday morning, A2 sessions on Saturday afternoon and evening, a C1 session on Sunday morning, and a C2 session Sunday afternoon. MAGIC also publishes a newsletter called the MAGIC COLUMN. The names MAGIC and MAGIC COLUMN are particularly meaningful in that MAGIC is a challenge level concept, and a MAGIC COLUMN is a particular formation used at the challenge level.
